Description

No. 47 Frogmore Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the 18th century or earlier and was raised to three storeys with a new front added in the early 19th century, along with a late 19th-century shopfront. The building is constructed of red brick with a stucco front that is lined to resemble ashlar. It has a slate roof with a plastered eaves soffit.

The three-storey building is three windows wide and faces west, sitting directly on the pavement. The front features corner pilasters with caps, an eaves band, and brackets at each end and flanking each window. The windows are recessed sash windows with square heads. The middle windows contain 3/3 and 6/6 panes, while the outer windows have 4/4 and 8/8 panes. The shopfront has a fascia with a recessed central glazed door and four large windows. The rear part of the building is made of red brick and includes sash windows, along with 18th and 19th-century casement windows on the first floor.
