Description

The Little House is an early 19th-century house located on the south side of Flamstead High Street. It is constructed of red brick with a slate roof, and the rear wall incorporates many blue bricks. The west flank wall reveals timber studs on the upper floor. This is an infill house, notable for its narrow frontage and double-pile, deep plan. The north front has a plank door leading up two steps, and a tall flush sash window to the left with 6/6 panes, set within a segmental arch. A similar sash window is centrally located on the first floor, featuring 8/8 panes. A central chimney is present. The house projects to the rear, with small, two-light casement windows. The building is included on the list for its group value.
