Description
Elm Farm (North) and Old Elm Farm (South) is a 16th century building located on the south side of Crouch Lane in Goff's Oak. The structure features a gable end facing the road and is constructed of roughcast, plaster, and weatherboarding, topped with an old tile roof. It stands two storeys high and consists of four to five timber frame bays, with a gabled cross wing in the center. There are two modern casement windows. A 16th or 17th century stack is located to the north of the cross wing, and a yellow stock brick chimney is situated near the south end. Inside, the building showcases substantial exposed timbers, including curved braces on the first floor of the south side of the cross wing (Old Elm Farm). Additionally, there is a modern weatherboarded extension on the east side of Elm Farm.
