Description

Nos 124 to 128 on High Street in Hoddesdon are buildings with origins dating back to the 17th century. They feature a steep plain tile roof with coped gables and stacks on the rear wall and south end wall. The buildings have two flat dormers and five irregularly spaced recessed sash windows. An early 18th-century box eaves cornice with mutules can be seen, along with a roughcast and applied timber upper floor. There is a painted relief to the left of center depicting children harvesting grain and hops. The ground floor has been modernized with three shops, and there is an early 19th-century wing at the rear of No 124.
