Description

These are an early 18th century pair of houses, with a 19th-century addition and modern windows. The houses are constructed of red brick, with some yellow brick on the northeast side. They are two storeys high with an attic. There are four windows across the front. A floor band runs along the west side, covering the first three windows. Number 70 has an old tile roof and is slightly taller. It features a dummy window above a modern central door, and a plain pilaster on its west end. A gabled dormer window is also present. Number 72 has a modern pantile roof, a replacement sash window, and a 17th or 18th century red brick wall on its northeast side. The buildings are included on the list for their group value.
