The Spinning Wheel is a mid-19th century building designed in the Swiss Cottage style. It features a stucco exterior, roughcast finish, and a machine tile roof. The building has a T-plan layout and stands two storeys tall, characterized by deep bracketed eaves and gables. The northern front is symmetrical, with a projecting gabled center that includes a ground floor porch supported by clusters of chamfered posts and a first floor with a triad of round-headed windows. There are pairs of round-headed windows on the sides, with lozenge-shaped leading to casements and coved sills on the first floor. The west elevation includes a canted ground floor bay and a first floor oriel window. At the rear, there is a projecting square tower featuring a first floor sack hoist and a bracketed roof.
