Description

Lowewood, built around 1760, is a red brick building featuring rubbed brick lintels and stucco dressings. It has a machine-tile, mansard roof and stands two storeys high over a cellar. The façade includes three attic dormers that are modillioned and pedimented. The entrance boasts a wooden Ionic doorcase with three-quarter columns, canted volutes, and a modillioned pediment. The door is a six-panel design with a rococo fanlight set in a round-headed, fielded-panel reveal. There are five modern flush sash windows, a floor band, and a moulded cornice below the parapet. A rear extension is located on the south side.
