Description

The Orangery is an early 19th-century former orangery associated with The Woodlands, now functioning as a cottage. It is constructed of yellow stock brick and features a machine tile roof. The east elevation is stuccoed and includes three-quarter composite columns with palmette capitals, an entablature adorned with a wreath motif, and a raised central attic that has paired Corinthian pilasters and an arched center. The corners are decorated with acroteria, and there are relieving arches between the columns. A door on the south side is accessed by curved steps with wrought iron railings. The south elevation has modern casements and hipped roof dormers. Additionally, there are two stuccoed square piers with octagonal moulded bases and capitals at the front patio.
