Description
This barn, located approximately 30 metres north of Duddenhoe End Farmhouse, dates from the mid to late 18th century. It has been extended to the left using 17th-century materials and was remodeled in the early 19th century. The structure features a combination of render and weatherboard over a timber frame set on a brick plinth, topped with a half-hipped roof made of plain tiles and corrugated iron. The barn is five bays long and four bays wide, with two half-hipped midstreys on the northern side. Inside, it has late 18th to early 19th-century straight-faced posts and 17th-century jowled posts, which are arch-braced to tie beams. The roof is a clasped purlin design with queen posts. This barn is included for its group value.
