Description
This is an 18th-century urn on a pedestal located approximately 50 meters south of Audley End House in Saffron Walden. The structure stands about 2 meters high and is made of oolitic limestone. The pedestal is rectangular, featuring a base and cornice with egg and dart and leaf moulding. The urn itself is adorned with an upper Greek key design, a Vitruvian scroll, and lower undulating leaves that rise from the stem on a torus moulded base. It also has a finial decorated with leaves.
