Description

Homestead and two cottages to the east are three cottages built in the 17th century and early 19th century. They feature timber framing with a red brick front and a roof made of clay peg tiles, which is hipped on the east side and gabled on the west, where the gable wall is covered in black weatherboarding. The buildings are two storeys high with attics, and there is one gabled dormer on the front roof slope. Each cottage is separated at the front by a flat pilaster strip, and the front has a storey string band, a moulded brick cornice, and a plinth.

The western unit has two 20th-century paired double-hung sash windows with small panes above a carriage arch, along with a similar paired double-hung sash window. The brickwork in this unit has been rebuilt. The central unit features two 2-light casement windows with small panes, a blank recess above a wide segmental arched opening, and a narrower similar opening with paired double-hung sash windows and a blank recess. The Homestead to the east has a similar opening to the central unit but includes two small-paned casements and two 20th-century casements above a segmental arched small pane window, along with two door openings. Inside, the cottages retain timber framing with jowled posts. This group is included for its historical and architectural value.
