Description
This is a 16th-century timber-framed and plastered house located on the north side of Bentfield Green in Stansted Mountfitchet. It is a one-and-a-half-story building with a two-window front. The original windows have been replaced with casements. The ground floor now has two 20th-century bowed fronts designed to resemble 18th-century additions, and a 20th-century six-panel door. The roof is thatched and features two dormer windows and a central chimney stack.
