Description

This is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered house located on the south side of Bentfield Causeway, in Stansted Mountfitchet. The house features later extensions at the north end. It is two storeys high and has casement windows. A significant original external chimney stack is present at the south end, with offsets and two hexagonal shafts. The roof is tiled. The building was formerly listed under the name No. 124, Bentfield End.
