Description

Gladwyn's Farmhouse is an early 16th-century house located in Thaxsted, Richmond Green. It is timber-framed and originally plastered, with a red plain tile roof that is half-hipped at the west end. The house has a two-story, three-window front. The upper floor features 17th-century leaded casement windows. The ground floor incorporates 18th-century double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The front door is 18th-century, with moulded architraves. A central chimney stack is constructed of 16th-century red brick. A 17th or later rear extension is present.
