Description

Timbers is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered house, formerly known as The Old School House, located at right angles to the road on Manor Lane in Great Chesterford. The building has been renovated and restored, with the timber framing now exposed. It stands two storeys high, featuring a jettied upper storey on the south-west gable end. The windows are casement style with lattice leaded lights. At the north-east end, there is a two-storeyed bay window. The roof is tiled and includes a cruciform shafted external chimney stack.
