Description

This is a 17th-century barn located 50 meters northeast of Tooleys Farmhouse in Great Dunmow. The barn is timber framed and features a combination of render and black weatherboarding, topped with a peg tile roof. It has a half-hipped roof at the west end and a hipped roof at the east end, with a gabled midstrey on the north side. The interior has been lined with a 20th-century brickwork skin. There is a hay-loft door on the west gable, and later lean-tos have been added to the north side.
