Description

Dunmow Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 16th century or possibly earlier, with extensions added in the early 19th century. It is constructed of timber framing with plaster and brick, and has a 2-storey elevation. The roof is covered in red plain tiles and grey slate. The front of the house features a 3-window arrangement of 19th-century vertical sliding sash windows with glazing bars, alongside a pedimented doorcase. Red brick chimney stacks are also visible. A rear range, thought to be the remains of a former open hall, retains a substantial timber frame.
