Description

Flying Rats is a cottage that was formerly a public house, dating from the 17th century or earlier. It features a timber-framed and plastered construction with a thatched roof. The building is one storey high with attics. On the right side, there is a small lean-to with a thatched roof, while on the left, there is a single-storey extension that has a half-hipped thatched roof. The windows consist of a modern leaded casement arrangement with a pattern of 1, 3, and 1. Additionally, there are three gabled dormers and a chimney stack made of red brick from the 18th century located at the end wall.
