Description

Marks Cottage is a small house dating from the late 16th century. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with a 20th-century red clay plain tile roof. The building has one storey and attics, featuring a three-window range of 20th-century casements and two gabled dormers. Inside, the timber frame is exposed, showcasing halved and bladed top plate scarfs, as well as soffit tenons with diminished haunches to the floor joists.
