Description
Nos 3, 4, and 5 on Cambridge Road are mid 19th century cottages arranged in a two-storey block made of red brick, featuring upper floors with red tile hanging. At the north end, there is a hipped roofed 'cross-wing', and a block projecting at right angles from the rear near the center. The front elevation includes a central lean-to double porch supported by turned baluster supports and a brick plinth wall. The windows have segmental arched brick heads and consist of contemporary casements with glazed bars. On the west elevation, there are two tile-hung dormers and red brick stacks designed in a 17th century style. These cottages, along with The Old Post House and other nearby buildings, form a group around a roughly square court. The architect is unknown.
