Description
This is a block of two cottages located 20 metres north of Upper Farm, dating from the early 17th century. The cottages are constructed of red brick and feature a half-hipped roof covered with modern plain tiles. There are three dormers with lean-to roofs that contain 19th century casements. The front elevation includes two contemporary entrance doors and 19th century casements with a single horizontal glazing bar. All openings have exposed timber lintels. The brickwork is in English bond, typical of the early 17th century, with a simple plinth and signs of former openings. At the west end, there is a lean-to with an opening that is blocked by clunch blocks. The cottages also have off-centre original chimney stacks made of red brick.
