Description
These are two adjoining barns located 25 metres south of Rookwoods. The larger barn dates from the 16th or 17th century and features four bays, jowls to the main posts, and arch braces supporting the tie beams. It has a thatched roof with a gabled midstrey, and its exterior is part plaster and part weatherboard, resting on a brick plinth. The smaller barn consists of three bays and has a slate roof, also with side purlin roof construction and hanging knees to the tie beams. Its exterior is clad in weatherboard, with a base made of flint and brick.
