Description

This is a chest tomb located 2 meters southwest of the west end of the south aisle of Saint Mary's Church in Saffron Walden. It dates from the early 19th century and features fielded panels on all sides, with clasping corner buttresses that have recessed lancet decoration. The inscription on the south face reads: "Hannah, relict of the late George Archer, 1830."
