TL5338 BRIDGE END GARDENS 669-1/1/357 Pavilion 10m north-west of gates 01/11/72 approaching from Bridge Street

Pavilion. c1854. Red brick, square plan, plain clasping corner pilasters and lead dome with central glazed cupola. Doorway on NE side, wood, C18 style with recessed pilasters and console brackets supporting a broken cornice. Doorway has scroll shaped head enriched with leaves. Frieze above has egg-and-dart moulding and central foliage knot device. Gate of cast-iron enriched with 3 principal bands of leaf scrolls with lesser similar terminal borders top and bottom.
