Description

This is a 17th century timber-frame barn located approximately 210 yards east of Birchanger Hall. The barn has three bays with aisles and is clad in weather-boarding, featuring rendered end walls. It has a steeply pitched peg-tile roof that is half hipped with wall end gablets. The south side of the barn has double doors in the center bay. Inside, there are jowled posts with lateral and longitudinal arched braces, a collared roof with side purlins, and wind bracing.
