Description

Sumach Cottage and Brewer Cottage is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed and plastered house that has been renovated in the 20th century. It is one storey high with attics and features casement windows with leaded lights, which are also from the 20th century. The roof is thatched and hipped at the south end, while the north end, likely a later addition, has a lower ridge level. The front of the building has four dormers of various sizes. Inside, the cottage showcases exposed timber-framing, ceiling beams, and joists.
