Description

Manor Farmhouse is a 16th-century timber-framed and plastered house with an L-shaped plan, featuring wings that extend to the south-east and south-west. The main block, facing north-west, was built around 1500 but underwent significant alterations in the 18th century. The house has two storeys and attics, with three windows on the north-west front and one window each on the north-east and south-west ends. Most of the windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, while the south-east wing has casement windows. A central six-panel door is set beneath a gabled porch, and the roof is tiled. Inside, the farmhouse boasts fine moulded beams, including a boss carved with a kestrel and a young bird. Additionally, there is a notable 18th-century staircase with a panelled dado.
