Description

This is a timber-framed building dating from the 16th to 17th centuries, with an early 19th-century stuccoed block added to the front. It has two storeys and originally featured an eight-window range of double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The windows are now mostly modern replacements; No. 1, at the southern end, has paired sashes, and No. 4 has casements. The northern end of the building incorporates a shop with double bays, a central entrance, and a moulded cornice supported by fluted Doric columns at each end. The roof is slate-covered, with a low pitch and hipped ends to the north and south.
