Description
The Ashdon Conservative Club is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered building, which has a 19th-century block added at the north end, creating an L-shaped plan. The original south block is one storey with attics and features casement windows, including two small oriel bays. The dormer window has old leaded casements. The roof is thatched, with one dormer and a central chimney stack. The west front displays a late 17th-century strip of ornamental plaster featuring a design of fruit and flowers. Part of the roof at the south end is covered with pantiles. The north block, built in the 19th century, is made of red brick and has two storeys with a three-window range of double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. The roof here is slate, hipped, and also has a central chimney stack.
