Description

The Fabric Shop, General Store, and adjacent house in Thaxted Bull Ring dates from the 17th century and was extensively altered in the 19th century. It features a timber frame with plaster and has a grey slate roof that is hipped to the south. The building is two storeys high and has a five-window range with double hung vertical sliding sashes. On the ground floor, there are two similar sashes with sidelights and glazing bars, along with two modern shopfronts. At the rear, there is a timber framed wing topped with a red plain tile roof, and red brick chimney stacks are present.
