Description
Trellis House and Trellis Cottage is a 17th-century house that has undergone 19th-century alterations and extensions. The building is timber framed and plastered, with some areas featuring weatherboarding, and it has a red plain tile roof. It is two storeys high and has a three-window range of horizontal sliding sashes. The entrance features an 18th-century doorcase with a staple pediment and the original door.
To the south, there is an early 19th-century extension that is constructed of brick and plaster, topped with a grey slate hipped roof. This extension is also two storeys high and has a two-window range of double hung sashes with glazing bars. The entrance here is adorned with a moulded and dentilled flat canopy supported by pilasters.
At the north end, there is a mid-18th-century extension that is weatherboarded and features a one-window range of 18th-century double hung vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars.
