Description

The Vicarage is a large 17th century house that has undergone alterations in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and features a four-window range. The 18th century double hung vertical sliding sashes have glazing bars, and there are two large bay windows with flat tops. The exterior showcases panelled pargetting, and the original red brick chimney stack has been rebuilt at the top. At the rear, there is a staircase tower that includes an 18th century stair window with a semi-circular head. The south end of the house features an early 18th century pedimented doorcase with a six-panel door.
