Description

The garden wall of Jubilee Gardens is a Grade II listed structure located in Saffron Walden, dating from the 18th century. It is approximately 25 meters long and separates No. 3, Jubilee House, from No. 5. The wall is constructed of red brick and stands around 4 meters high, although the upper 1 meter has been rebuilt in a plain style during the 20th century.

There are two entrances through the wall: one is an original gateway with a segmental arch featuring a stone keystone, and its surround is articulated with brick quoining that has stepped decoration. The other entrance is a 20th-century arched opening that leads to public toilets within the garden. Additionally, there is a single external brick buttress.

On the rear south elevation, there is a timber beam running along the length of the wall at mid-height.
