Description
The walled garden and gardeners shed, located to the south of Mistley Hall, date from the early 19th century. The structure is made of red brick and stands 3 to 4 metres high. It features a wrought iron scrollwork gate on the east wall. Attached to the north wall corner is a single-storey building, likely a gardeners shed, which is currently used as a pottery. This building has a hipped roof covered with grey slate and is faced with flint, complemented by red brick quoins, an eaves band, and central rear wall pilasters. The rear and return walls display decorative arches, with the rear arches made of slag and featuring stone keystones, while the return arches are constructed of brick. The building includes six light workshop windows and a four-panelled door at the entrance.
