Description

Dorset House is a house dating to around 1840. It is constructed primarily of gault brick, with a rear of red brick, and has a grey slate roof. The chimney stacks are off-centre, to the right and left, and are panelled. The house has a panelled parapet and consists of three bays divided by pilasters with Ionic capitals. It features a three-window range of small-paned vertically sliding sashes, bracketed moulded cornice heads, and cast twisted iron railings to the ground floor cills. A central porch has Ionic columns and pilasters, supporting a moulded flat canopy. The front door is half-glazed with two lower panels.
