Mainly timber framed and plastered with painted brick ground floor to left range (possibly an underbuilt jetty), and right C19 brew/bakehouse. Red plain tiled roofs. 4 red brick chimney stacks, that to rear of left range C16/C17 with 2 restored attached diagonal shafts and yellow moulded chimney pots. Complex plan, 2 gabled wings to left, set back central range and right range outshot to ground floor eaves level, right return brew/bakehouse lean-to with bake oven to right. 2 storeys. 1:1:2 window range of various casements and vertically sliding shutters. Many of the original features covered by modern decoration but side girts, top plates, original mullions and windows are visible. Many C18 and later features including vertically boarded and panelled doors, windows with panelled side shutters and some vertically sliding shutters. Stick staircase with wreathed handrail and mouldings to open string. Coloured tile hall floor. Good C19 moulded ceramic W.C. Black marble fireplace. One range with pegged, staggered side purlin roof. C19 brew/bakehouse with copper, bake oven and stone sink. RCHM 15.
