Description
The Robin Hood is a public house located on London Road in Clacton-on-Sea. It dates from the 17th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. The building features a timber frame with plaster and batten decoration, topped by a red plain tiled roof. There are red brick chimney stacks on the left and external right sides, along with two rear wings. The structure is two storeys high and has a four-window range of 20th-century casements. There are also 20th-century porches on the left and right, each with slanting roofs and plank and muntin doors. Inside, heavy bridging joists and flat ceiling beams are exposed, and there are heavy rafter feet visible at the eaves.
