Description
Primrose Hall Farmhouse is an early 19th-century house located on Primrose Lane in Ramsey and Parkeston. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and has a slate roof. The house features a double-pile plan facing northeast, with one internal stack on each side and one at the rear. There is a 20th-century lean-to conservatory on the left side.
The farmhouse has two storeys and a three-window range of early 19th-century sash windows, each with 16 lights, plastered flat arches, and crown glass. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door, with the upper four panels being glazed, set within a reeded architrave adorned with paterae. An original cast iron porch with heavy scrolled ornament and a flat roof enhances the entrance. The roof is hipped with a shallow pitch and features long overhanging eaves. The right return of the house has similar windows. According to the owner, the farmhouse was built in 1835.
