Description
Tocketts, probably formerly known as Byways, is an 18th-century house with later alterations and additions. It is constructed of plastered brick and features double range red plain tiled roofs, with plastered end chimney stacks on each range. The house has two storeys and attics, and is adorned with a dentilled eaves cornice. There are three square-headed dormers and a three-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes, with a flat canopy over the left ground floor window. The central entrance consists of two panelled double doors with four lights, set beneath a pedimented porch supported by fluted columns and pilasters. Additionally, a long stable range extends to the rear left of the property.
