Description
Brook Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, with later alterations and additions. It is timber framed and plastered, featuring red plain tiled roofs. The building has a T-shaped plan with a crosswing to the west, which now serves as the front entrance. There are off-centre left and external front right chimney stacks, along with a large stack on the ridge of the eastern range. The west range is two storeys high, while the east range is one storey with attics. There is a 20th-century bow window on the ground floor to the left and a 20th-century casement window on the first floor to the right. A vertically boarded door is located to the left of the external chimney stack. Inside, two sets of rafter feet are visible at the eaves level, along with close set wall studs and ceiling beams.
