Description
Gatewoods Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with red plain tiled roofs. The building features two red brick chimney stacks on the left forward gabled wing, one of which has attached diagonal shafts, and an external right stack to the right of the main range. The left range is single storey, while the right range is two storeys high. The house has a 1:2 window arrangement of vari-light leaded casements. There is a 20th-century gabled porch to the left of the main range, which includes a panelled door, and a stable door is located on the left range. The left range also shows a tusk tenon, with the frame exposed at the gable end.
