Description

Mount Bovers is a house of likely 17th-century or earlier origin, with additions dating to the 19th and 20th centuries. The house is timber-framed and plastered, with weatherboarding on the first floor of the left crosswing. It has red plain tiled roofs and red brick chimney stacks to each range. A 20th-century crosswing is located to the left, featuring a half-hipped roof and jettied gable. The right gable belongs to the original range, while a 19th-century addition is in the centre. The house has two storeys and a window arrangement of 1:1:2, featuring 20th-century casement windows. A 20th-century enclosed gabled porch is on the right. Interior features include chamfered bridging joists and a substantial amount of reused old timber.
