Description
The coach house and stable block, located immediately to the rear right (north east) of The Shrubbery, is an early 19th-century building that has been converted into a cottage, with some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, featuring red pantiled roofs. The structure includes single-storey lean-to extensions on both the left and right sides, and there are no chimney stacks visible from the front. The building is two storeys high and has a four-window range on the first floor, primarily consisting of original small-paned horizontal sliding sash windows. There is a door leading to the left extension, and two doors on the main range, each with two lights. A central tri-partite small-paned vertically sliding sash window is also present. The cottage conversion has received a local conservation plaque.
