Description

Tyndales is a house dating from the 16th century. It has a facade of red brick dating from the 18th century, with later additions and alterations. The roof is red plain tiles, with two segmental-headed dormers. External brick chimney stacks are present to the right and left, with a small stack to the left and an attached diagonal shaft stack to the rear right. A parapet and moulded band are also visible.

The house is two storeys and attics, with a two-storey extension to the right, featuring a grey slate roof hipped to the right and a single window range of small-paned vertically sliding sashes. The main block has three window bays containing two or three-light small-paned vertically sliding sashes, with rubbed brick segmental arches above. The left-hand ground-floor window has mullions designed as pilasters with moulded capitals and bases, and a moulded frieze above. A central panelled and glazed door is set within a reveal, with a moulded frieze and Tuscan columns supporting a moulded pediment.
