Description
The entrance gates adjacent to Kelvedon Lodge date from the early 19th century. They feature brick roughcast pillars and cast iron gates. The large rectangular pillars have moulded bases and cornices, each with a pedestrian entranceway through inner returns to the rear. The cast iron gates include a lower panel and ornate tracery in the upper panel, with a date of 1834 marked on them. The adjoining park wall is dated 1825, as indicated by a plaque. The double carriage gates consist of plain rails and side panels and are of a later date.
