Description
Fullbridge Mill is a late 19th-century flour mill that has been converted into offices. It is constructed from London stock brick with yellow and orange segmental brick arches over the openings, topped with slate roofs and gable parapets. The building has a T-plan form and features a taller extension on the southeast side.
The mill stands three storeys high, with major elevations showcasing industrial-type windows set in bays defined by pilasters that have moulded-brick Doric capitals. The windows typically consist of large panes with painted timber mullions and iron horizontal glazing bars, with the upper section above the transom forming a full-width ventilator. The front elevation has a seven-bay section that projects forward and is of a lower storey height, topped with a stepped gable that features a rectangular window in the center and circular windows on either side.
On the first floor, there is a semicircular-arched window with radiating glazing bars, although the lower part has been altered. The southeast elevation facing the river includes a circular window in the gable and altered loading doors on each floor, now accompanied by an attached metal staircase and hoist. The northwest elevation mirrors this with a square window in the gable. The roof has ventilator cowls.
Inside, the mill features extremely large softwood bridging joists in the main range, supported by a central row of cruciform-plan cast-iron columns.
