Description

This barn, located approximately 70 metres south west of Great Braxted Hall, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a hipped plain red tiled roof. At the rear, there is a brick plinth that is slightly older than the barn itself. The structure consists of seven bays and features hanging knees to stop-chamfered tie beams. The roof is supported by side purlins with intermittent collars. There are central double doors at both the front and rear of the barn.
