Description

Tayspills is a cottage located on Church Street in Goldhanger, dating from the 17th or 18th century, with some later alterations. It features a timber frame that is parget plastered, and has red plain tiled roofs with a double range. There is a red brick chimney stack on the left side. The front has a three-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes set in moulded surrounds. To the right, there is a four-panelled door topped with a flat canopy supported by brackets. Above the door, the name Lavender Cottage is inscribed in the plaster.
