No. 48 on Potter Street, also known as London Road, is an early 19th-century house constructed of stock brick in Flemish bond. The building stands two storeys tall and features a stone-coped parapet. It has two inset end chimney stacks and a tiled ridged roof. On the first storey, there is a range of three small-paned sash windows without horns, each set under gauged straight arches. The ground storey has two matching windows flanking a central door, which is set in a round arch opening and topped with an open pediment. The doorcase has panelled reveals.
