Description

The White House is a 17th-century building with a complex plan located on Potter Street, also known as London Road. It features a timber frame and plastered exterior, with some weatherboarding on the south side. The house has two storeys topped with ridged, gabled roofs covered in peg tiles, and an off-centre chimney stack made of red brick with pilasters. On the first storey, there are three clear sash windows, with the two on either side of the chimney bay being three-part windows, while the pair on the north side are single. The ground storey has matching windows, along with a front door and porch situated in front of the chimney bay. The porch is also gabled and peg-tiled.
